This year, the Lemhi County Historical Society and Museum nominated two of Lemhi County’s finest historians and educators, Terry Magoon and Mike Crosby, for the esteemed Idaho State Historical Society’s Esto Perpetua Award. They, along with seven other individuals and two organizations, were selected by the ISHS Board of Trustees to receive the award during a ceremony on June 2 at 5:30 PM, at the Idaho Old Penitentiary in Boise. Those nominated must meet one or all of the following criteria: Exemplary accomplishments in the preservation of Idaho’s historical assets; demonstrated commitment to the education, protection and interpretation of Idaho’s historical assets, and the integration of these assets into community life; innovative, creative, and responsible approaches to showcasing Idaho’s historic resources in their communities.
